Day 13-Yosemite

 Day 13-Yosemite

Hey friends and family! It's the SNEEZY'S coming A-CHOOOO with an update from day 13. This morning was an early one starting at 5:15 am from the Waller Center. We packed our bags and the bus and said bye to Miss. Mimi and her two dogs, Pumpkin and Toasty. We felt a little less homesick seeing her furry friends and set off to Yosemite National Park. An early morning wake up call means morning naps and a 7:00 A.M. Wally World stop (our first one of the day), we were surprised as to how many people were already up and shopping at Walmart this early in the morning. While on the way, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast of mini doughnuts and several flavors of apple sauce; though some of us were so hungry we skipped the spoons and slurped down the apple sauce.

After we ate and visited Walmart we began our second round of naps while we digested that tasty goodness. As the nappers began to awake, they looked out the windows to see the amazing views of Yosemite. While we held our breaths driving up the mountain, we looked down the side without the protection from a guard rail. As our ears began to pop, we looked in awe at the scenery as it changed from tall pine trees to flowing waterfalls and rock climbers braving the dangerous mountains. We drove around the park trying to scout out a spot that we could park the bus and vans. We were sad to discover that the park was bustling with action and had no spots available for our big load. Dallas, our brave hero set out to find us a restroom for we had a long drive ahead of us. To our misfortunes the only place she could find were port-a-potties, we all held our breaths in the stinky air. Our group loaded back into our lovely rides and set off towards our camp for tonight. Along the way we conducted interviews (which our own Sneezy Ben held) so we could get to know our family even better, made even more friendship bracelets, and somehow took even more naps. Our delicious lunch today consisted of PB&J sliders on Hawaiian rolls with cheese balls which we devoured in hunger.

Meg was so excited for the potty!

In TWB fashion, we made a second stop at our favorite place, Walmart! Because many of us needed to potty we made the line run so long people started looking at us like the circus came to town. After a brief intermission, we departed and drove up a big ole mountain where us Carolina folk saw snow and ice for the first time since the great ice storm of 2011! Many of us wanted to stop and play around in the snow but we had to push on to set up camp before the sunset. We looked across the beautiful state of California for the last time and saw views that we would never see at home. Between the mountain snow to the cow filled plains we could not feel more at home with these people.
We had AMAZING burritos or nachos depending on what you prefer, we also had our map guy (Banks) try Spam for the first time and to our surprise it was actually good! We can't wait to share more of our adventures with you as the Sneezys take over the Blog! Love from Northern California, Your Sneezy group of 2023 (Ben, Charlie, Bryce, Meg, Callee, Leah, Amelia, Alex, Sara, Gracie, Asher, Jess and Dylan).
