Day 11- Highway 1

DAY 11: HIGHWAY 1

GOOD MORNING from the Sleepy's, we are not sleepy today! We woke up outside at the chilling Chuchama Lake this morning at 6:15 and made our way over to Walmart for a quick shopping trip. After 45 minutes at Walmart we ate cinnamon rolls (either strawberry or classic) and yogurt (strawberry or peach)  for breakfast on the bus and started our journey to TWB Rock located on Highway one. None of us really knew where we were headed this morning except we were driving up PCH to see the scenic views.

On the way to the rock we saw the mountains on our right and the beautiful Pacific Ocean on the left. We stopped at a Vista Point aka Ragged Point to take group pictures and admire the oceanside along with our favorite, using the bathroom.

Once we finished our stop, we continued our journey up the beautiful highway one. After going around the turns in our big ole bus and our two long vans, we arrived at the TWB rock. At this stop, we admired the beauty of Gods creation while reflecting on what good the trip has been for each of us so far and how it has helped us in what all we have individually struggled with. After so many sharing their stories and many tears being shed, we sang a few songs together, gave many hugs and truly just grew together closer with our TWB family. This stop was also our furthest point west so we are officially Teens Eastward Bound.

We all gathered in the vans and bus and went back down Highway one making our way to Monterey. Once we got to Monterey, we took a group picture and then split off to go get food, big doughnuts, and souvenirs.

This stop was super quick as we had to make our 2 hour drive to our stop in San Fransisco. While on the bus, we sang happy birthday to Zach, ate chicken bacon ranch wraps, screamed Bruno Mars, did the Tooty Tot, and had a lot of fun entertainment. We also had really good Caesar Wraps for dinner!

When we got into San Fransisco, it was super cold, cloudy and kind of misty. It is a lot different weather here than what we have experienced everywhere else. We had a very tight parking job to complete with our bus but as always Shaun did great and got it on the second try while Dallas held the stop sign out of his way. We entered our gym where we are staying and got to meet our host and her dogs which helped us who are missing our fur babies back home. We all got settled in and are having some free time to shower, get our laundry together to be done tomorrow, and just have fun and talk with each other. We are finishing the night off super chill and getting well rested to be ready to explore all of San Fransisco tomorrow!

This is it from the Sleepy's, we are signing off for now!
