Day 16- Jackson Hole, Tetons, Yellowstone

Day 16: Yellowstone

Hello again from the water balloon champs!! Last night was one for the books… after finally settling down we had an unexpected visit from a nearby by storm and many of us found nearby shelter in their tarp or the picnic building. We all bunkered down together in half awake fashion riding out the storm hoping our tarps were laying tight. Once the storm passed we went to bed praying to stay dry. To our misfortune 5:30 a.m. came way too soon and our groggy bunch packed up and headed out for Jackson Hole, Wyoming! Upon arrival we hit some of Grant's favorite “cheapest” shops before we were set loose to enjoy what Jackson has to offer! (Of course you know that Grant will find us the best souvenir shops this great country has to offer!)

Some looked for second breakfast, lunch in the form of bison burgers, or continued their 16 day shopping spree streak!

We loaded up and set out in search of the famous Grand Tetons! They did not disappoint and only became more beautiful as we got a closer look at the Chapel of Transfiguration. As a close family we reflected on the trip so far.

After pictures and hugs we all gathered together back in our ride to head off towards our newest adventure Yellowstone National Park. We saw a mesmerizing eruption from Old Faithful and the wonders around what the park had to offer from both the gift shop and ice cream parlors (sorry Ian for bringing it on the bus).

SLEEP CAM

We had an amazing tour lead by “Ole Ranger” Ian where we gazed at more of what Yellowstone had to offer and even smelt some of her beauty! (the sulfer is no joke!) We missed the Grand Canyon so much we HAD to go visit her baby the Little Grand Canyon of Yellowstone! Our site seeing didn’t end at the mountain sunset but we watched families of bison, elk, bears and geese all in their natural habitat (the middle of the road).

Our large family had many moments of bonding today from the Chapel to loudly singing on the bus, we are so sad to know that in just one week we’ll be back home rereading these post with you! Love for the Sneezys for the last time in 2023, see you in six days! ( Meg, Leah, Amelia, Jess, Ben, Alex, Gracie, Charlie, Bryce, Caller, Asher, and our very own Birthday girl Sara!)!!
